24 Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring

The blood pressure monitor is a non-invasive system for measuring blood pressure.  A blood pressure cuff is worn for the full 24 hours and is connected to the monitor by tubing, with the monitor worn on a belt provided.

The blood pressure cuff is placed on your non-dominant arm with the monitor and tubing placed under your clothing.  An initial blood pressure measurement will be taken.  The monitor is then programmed to take a blood pressure measurement every 30 minutes during the day and every 60 minutes during the night (10pm – 6am).  Usual activity should be continued while wearing the monitor.
