Associate Professor Aaron Lin is a consultant cardiologist at the Gold Coast Heart Centre, with special expertise in non-invasive diagnostic cardiology, including Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography, 3D Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Cardiac CT Angiography and Cardiac MRI. He has been appointed as Associated Professor of Medicine at Griffith University and also holds senior consultant specialist position at The Prince Charles Hospital and Queensland X Ray at Mater Hospital Brisbane.
Associate Professor Lin graduated in medicine from the University of Otago, New Zealand. His cardiologist specialist training was at Auckland City Hospital, Auckland and The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane, with Fellowships in Echocardiography, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI at The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. Associate Professor Lin has been awarded a PhD Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine through Griffith University, Queensland with research focused on pulmonary hypertension using dynamic Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Associate Professor Lin’s special interests include the application of advanced non-invasive cardiac imaging to clinical practice and cardiac risk assessment. He has more than 50 scientific abstract presentations, over 20 published papers, and has published two textbook chapters. He is accredited by the ANZ Conjoint Committee for recognition in the practice of non-invasive Cardiac CT coronary angiography to evaluate coronary artery disease and is recognised by the CSANZ Conjoint Committee as a provider for Cardiac MRI to assess cardiovascular disorders.
Based at the Gold Coast Heart Centre suites in the John Flynn Medical Centre, Associate Professor Lin will provide cardiac consultation, exercise stress echocardiography, echocardiography and stress testing.
